Custom Glass Wall

2026, Custom Glass Wall for private residence, Bratislava,
Concept by architect Zuzana Mórocz

We were invited by architect Zuzana Mórocz to collaborate on the design and realisation of an organically shaped glass wall divider for a private client.

For this project, we used the fused glass technique, developed in collaboration with the experienced team at TGK Skalice s.r.o.

The process begins with sheets of glass, onto which coloured pigment in powdered form is applied and then baked in. This method allows for the creation of subtle gradients and expressive, layered colour patterns directly within the glass surface.

The individual glass panels were mounted onto a brass structure. To ensure absolute precision, the pipe system was CNC laser-cut, allowing all connection points and openings to be placed exactly where needed.

The final brass elements were then hand-finished with a custom patina, giving the structure a slightly darker, refined character.

Although the project initially appeared straightforward, it evolved into a more complex process with several unexpected challenges along the way.

The full making-of process can be seen on our channel Why It Takes Time.
